    Business Update..

We are still waiting to hear back from the space owner about the possiblities of splitting the space for Cafe Evoke. As I have written before, I have contacted the planning commission here in Bozeman to figure out parking and singage regulations and have to now wait to see how many square feet we have avaiable to us if any at all. At this point, I'm going to have to go ahead and set up a meeting with the bank to begin finding money to help capitalize this space. The only problem will be knowing how much to get. My plan is to present the financials for the larger space just in case.

We are working on other opportunties as well including online sales, getting beans in shoe stores and other "artsy" outlets. The other goal for today and tomorrow is to call the property manager and try and gain some insight our our situations. I have sent two emails with no response this week and hope that with a call, I can find something out.

That is where we are at this point. This is a crucial time in our planning for Cafe Evoke and we are fighting through it...

In a post you said that as a plan B you are thinking to rent a house and make the cafe in there. Would you then have enough parking space? And is it legal or nice for the people who live there to be surrounded by cars? But the house sounds good anyway – especially if you can get an old house.

The house idea would have to be a place in the proper zoning. This would not be a location in the middle of some residential area but rather, in a place that used to be residential but is now zoned for commerical use.

There are many places, including Bongo Java in Nashville, TN that are located in older homes that have been rezoned. This is what we would do.

Parking, however, will still be a concern and threat to us opening in any location....
