    Update...

We met with the leasing agent last night to discuss the counter offer made by the owners of the building we have been working on. As he wanted to meet in person, I was planning some real problems with my counter to them that I sent in on Monday. That was not the case. All of the things they came back with this time were manageable and I think we are as close as ever to calling this space home for Cafe Evoke.

The wording was all that really needed to be changed. The did come back lower on our build-out costs but our leasing agent here said to hold firm with the amount that we asked for. I hope to have the final letter back to them by Friday accompanied by the "lease applications" (basically financial reports from the guarantors). I hope to begin the lease talk by the beginning of next week. Where does that leave us? Here is a list of things that needs to be completed on or very close to the signing of the lease.

    1. Need to get with the lawyer and have the S-corp organized
    2. Need to enroll at the American Barista and Coffee School
    3. Need to tie down our loan with one of the two banks..or both

Not a terribly long list but one that has important steps to the opening of Cafe Evoke. Could be quick now!
