Tough Decisions

As we are looking into an area of town that is about to be developed further, we are running into a timeline issue and tough decisions will need to be made. We are going to meet with a developer (and leasing agent we have been working with) to talk about his buildings that are going up beginning in March. The problem is that the building will take about a year to complete which puts us a long way out. There are other buildings available in this area that we are also meeting to discuss with the owners and their leasing agents but we are still looking at a summer move in date at the earliest for any of these buildings. As I wrote yesterday in my "window" post, I feel that we cannot wait too long to get opened. The good thing about being in the part of town where we are looking is that we would be the first coffee house there. These are all things we are going to have to take into consideration. We have vendors that are waiting to take our orders, our equipment is ready to be shipped, and we have money sunk into the deal already. You grow up fast when these types of decisions must be reached and you learn on the fly. The key here is to be patient and not get into something that will have negative effects on Cafe Evoke and our ability to serve our community here and across the world. ~~be bold
