First Contact

I decided a week or so ago that I needed to make contact with the northeast neighborhood association before I did anything else. I had not acting on this realization yet, however, until last night. Mike (who runs a Bozeman blog) replied to an email I had sent him and gave me the one person's info that he knew in this community. It happened to be one of the presidents of this association. I emailed him last night and I am very excite and anxious to hear back from him. This community is very active and wants to preserve community. I was reading through their site and they share a lot of the values that we at Cafe Evoke have. I really think this is going to be a good place for us as long as we do not rush into anything and act outside of what the people know about and want. We need to be realistic, however, and realize that there will be people over there that do not want us to open. We need to do what we can to assure them that this coffee and art house fits with their community. I feel that it will be a long road ahead as we begin to venture out to the people but it will pay off in the end. ..be bold
