Update...

It has been rather slow for us and Cafe Evoke for the past week or so while we await responses from the owners of the two buildings we have been working on to get back with us. I know they have both been meeting with the city and have been getting plans together so at least I know they are working on it. I had set a goal to know what building we were going to be moving into and also have a formal agreement signed by the end of January. Well, that date is tomorrow and we are still in the water on both goals. I am going to extend that deadline a bit and try to get some final word by the end of the week. We are meeting with our lawyer today to have our first corporate meeting for Conversations, Inc. It feels bittersweet at this point because we have not even opened yet but that is part of it. We organized because we had a lease signed and now we are stuck paying the taxes, filling out the paperwork, and having the meetings. It is good practice I guess. At this time, we are still in a waiting game and cannot do much more until we find a home.
