    It's Fair Trade Month

    Green LA Girl informed me that October is Fair Trade Month. What does this mean to you? I hope everything!

    TransFair USA has a new site, Discover Fair Trade, that gives information about Fair Trade and what is going on in this world. There are chances to win prizes and information on how to really get involved.

    Even if you are only able to purchase Fair Trade Certified Coffee -- there are many other products out there that are fairly traded -- you will be helping people and reaching past just a local community. You are extending a hand across oceans and into other's lives by drinking (or using) products that you would normally buy anyway.

    Yes, it might cost you $1.65 instead of $1.62 -- it is worth it.

    So, in honor of this month, head to your local coffee spot and ask for Fair Trade Certified coffee and maybe a little bag of choco covered espresso beans!

    As the ad on the left sidebar of this blog says... "When you buy a $3 cappuccino, coffee farmers won't even get 3 cents."
