Cafe Evoke Catering :: An Update
| Well, I finally completed all of the "thank you's" that I had to write. I think there ended up being 175 or something. While many people said I should have just printed something off, signed it, and sent it, I feel that a hand written note might come across a bit better. My hope is that it will lead to at least a few phone calls. I have learned that once I can get into a conversation about our service, it leads to a booking. The idea of the letters was to catch our hopeful clients a week or so after they saw us -- just to remind them and hopefully spur them into booking us for their events. My goal is to get Cafe Evoke Catering to a point where we are booked 8 times per month. This goal would put our fixed costs at 30% of Sales. At this point, our cost per event is just under 10% which I am happy with. This weekend is going to be a big one for us as we head over to the Museum of the Rockies for their Black Tie Ball. This is one of our last big scheduled events that I call "marketing events." We do these because we get paid to advertise. This event will put us in front of 350 or so Bozeman community members that we feel are a large part of our target market. So, black tie it is for Saturday evening. I am excited for the event and even more excited to see how this helps us position ourselves in the Bozeman market. ..be bold |
